CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration
Hello to everyone!
Today I can share with you a great event! I have been invited to join the CSI team as a Special Investigator this month! I'm very happy that my LOs attract your attention! It's a real pleasure and a real chellenge to create for your case files. And I hope I'll manage it))
And this is my LO
And this is Case File 117
When I saw the Case File I was greatly inspired by the colors and
inspiration elements. The mood board reminded me a photo of mine. I
don't have many photos of my childhood, but those I have represent
really happy moments of my life.
I decided to follow the mood board as close as possible and preserve the spirit of old happy days.
Evidence: gears (chipboard), circles (paper button and letter stickers),
metals (leaves), "ransom"-style lettering, flowers, rub-ons,
butterflies, a bicycle, an arrow.
Testimony: journaling in the form of a poem - a poem for kids about a bicycle by Tassie Stuart
Close-ups
Hello!
My name is Yulia Mozhova and my nick on the blogspot is YuliaM
I am from Ukraine and live in a small beautiful town not far
from Kyiv. I’m a mum to a five year old boy who is very smart and
unpredictable and who can show the beauty and brightness of the world to
his busy parents. I’m also a wife to a very supportive husband who is
always ready to help me with a critical view of my projects.
I work as a teacher of English at the military university and really
love my job. When being on maternity leave, I started cardmaking. This
interesting and very exciting journey started in 2011. Only a few months
ago I understood that was ready for scrapbooking. And now I’m fond of
opening up new horizons))
Interrogation
What is your favorite color(s) to work with? No
favorite color)) The choice of a color depends on my mood, on the topic
I want to work with, on the photo. When I started scrapbooking I really
enjoyed working with earth tones and different distress colors. Blue
was my favorite color for a long time as well. And now I am fond of
green and yellow.
What would you say is your "fingerprint" on your scrapbook pages?
(i.e., what do most of your pages have that make it your signature
style?) I am still in search of my style. I’m trying different
styles and techniques. But even now I can say that in every my LO there
are many layers: paper, paints and sprays, modeling paste, stamping,
freestyle features and so on. I just can’t leave much open space in a
piece of cardstock))
What do you find most challenging when working on a layout? The
most challenging for me is to start working on a layout)) I have an
image of the future LO in my head, I see paper and embellishments, but
it can take me up to several days to start working. And when I start
working I deeply involved into the process and really love it .
What is your favorite part about CSI--the colors, the stories, or the inspiration?
My favorite part is the inspiration. When I look at the image and read
the elements which can be used in a layout, I start to imagine my
layout, think of a possible photo and choose embellishments. Of course,
the colors and the stories also help a lot but my starting point is the
inspiration.
Confession time. Okay, fess up! What secret do you not want to admit but are willing to confess here? Okay)) I am a very lazy person)) And I want to buy some new scrap collections but I don’t want my husband to know about it))
Thanks for your visit!
